Initially conceptualized in 2012, HACKION began as a dream envisioned by its founder, Damion Brown, who was just fifteen years old at the time. After almost a decade of industry experience, HACKION Proprietary Limited was formally incorporated in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on 16th of December 2024. As of 1st of July 2025, our headquarters has moved from Sydney to Newcastle. HACKION has built up specialized skills and understandings to offer in the areas of computer and cyber science, real-time communications, and distributed systems.
Software engineering should go hand in hand with security. While HACKION is adeptly versed in security and while security is always a primary concern, our focus and attention are broadly attuned to the wider technology ecosystem. HACKION goes beyond what is typically on offer to create new value and is uniquely poised for the coming century.
